New York Spectacular starring Radio City Rockettes

—Spring 2015
Moment Factory was thrilled to collaborate with Emmy Award-winning choreographer Mia Michaels, who served as the Director and Choreographer for the “New York Spectacular, starring the Radio City Rockettes” at Radio City Music Hall, to bring her vision around the production to life.

“New York Spectacular” celebrates New York City in the summertime centered around the trip of a lifetime for two kids, who, while on a vacation in New York, are separated from their parents. With the help of the Radio City Rockettes, the city magically comes to life to help to reunite the kids with their family in the end. “New York Spectacular” features iconic scenery of New York locations and landmarks such as the Empire State Building, Wall Street, Central Park, Times Square and Radio City Music Hall, alongside larger-than-life statues like the Statue of Liberty and the Wall Street bull.

The iconic Radio City Music Hall itself is also transformed. Ceiling projections blur the boundary between the house and the stage, immersing the audience, while six layers of onstage LED screens and movable stage elements physicalize the 90 minutes of digital screen content into a volumetric, virtual scenography. It’s New York City like you’ve never seen it before.
